The Estate
The estate is older than most of the towns nearby.
Originally built in the 16th century, it operated as a working casería, a self-contained agricultural estate, through three centuries before falling quiet. The current restoration began in 1998 and was recognised with the European Heritage Award (Europa Nostra) in 2009.
What you see today is the same building stock, restored. The chapel still consecrated. The Roman bath still operational, fed by the same spring. The olive grove still producing the oil served at breakfast. 2,500 square metres of living space, surrounded by centuries-old olive groves.
The estate has never been a hotel. It has been in private hands since restoration, opening for a small number of weddings, retreats and private stays.
Where it sits
Fourteen hectares between the Sierra and the sea.
One hour and thirty minutes from Málaga AGP. Thirty to Ronda. Quiet enough that you can hear the bells in the town below.
